The new industrial park, in a straight line for European funding

The Dolj County Council (CJ) opened today a decisive stage for the long-term economic development of the region, by submitting the grant financing project intended for the operationalization of the third industrial park in the institution's portfolio.

The investment, with an estimated value of 13.5 million euros, aims to create a modern infrastructure for businesses in the Coșoveni commune, on a land area of over 180 hectares, thus establishing itself as one of the largest platforms of this profile in Romania.

"Today we mark a crucial moment for the economic future of our county and the entire region. The submission of the project for the third industrial park of Dolj County, Oltenia Business Park, represents the materialization of a strategic vision, through which we aim to offer optimal conditions and important facilities to companies interested in investing in our area, building sustainable businesses and creating stable jobs.

We are talking about a massive economic infrastructure, one of the largest in Romania, and the project that we submitted to the Southwest Oltenia Regional Development Agency covers all aspects for this new platform to be perfectly functional, offering its future residents all the necessary support.

We ensure everything that means efficient connection to road transport, from configuring access from National Road 6 to creating the internal road network. We arrange the sewage and water supply systems, including also the basins and fire extinguishing installations. We also included in our investment the connection of the industrial park to the electricity grid, but we also rely on the use of renewable sources. Therefore, the new business platform will be equipped with its own photovoltaic panel park, on an area of approximately 4 hectares, which also integrates storage capacities.

Last but not least, we will build a modern, two-story building within this project, equipped with furniture, IT equipment and technological equipment. The building will have both an administrative role and support for the various services that the industrial park will offer to companies. They will have a conference room at their disposal, as well as a rapid prototyping center, intended for entrepreneurs who intend to launch new products on the market. In fact, just two days ago we established a partnership with the University of Craiova, through the Research Infrastructure in Applied Sciences – a formula in which we will support residents by facilitating technological transfer from the sphere of innovation and testing to serial production, as well as by configuring academic programs adapted and correlated with the main needs of investors.

It should be noted that the approach submitted today to obtain financing represents the first stage of our strategy for Oltenia Business Park. In the coming years, two other successive projects will ensure the construction of new service buildings, the expansion of the internal network with pedestrian alleys and bicycle paths, as well as the creation of direct access to the railway transport infrastructure.

We are thus repeating, on a much larger scale, the success of our first initiatives in the field. Craiova Industrial Park and High-Tech Industry Park are two chapters of success, which mean almost 100 companies supported, over 70 million euros in attracted investments and approximately 3,500 jobs.

With a total value of 70,879,082.92 lei, including VAT, the "Industrial Park No. 3" project, submitted for financing under the Sustainable Development and Just Transition Program, has an implementation period of 24 months, of which 13 months are allocated for the actual implementation of the works.

The main investment objectives include securing the area of 180.59 hectares with a perimeter fence of 7,580 meters in length, establishing access from DN 6, the network of internal roads (approximately 7.4 kilometers), sidewalks (approximately 9.7 km), as well as parking lots. For water supply, 4 drilled wells and the same number of tanks with a capacity of 150 cubic meters are provided.

The electricity will be provided through 2 20kV lines and 4 transformer stations within the industrial park. The investment also includes the installation of a hybrid photovoltaic system with storage, with a capacity of approximately 200 kW. The administrative and service building built within the project, with a ground floor and an upper floor, will have a surface area of 520 square meters.
